Worden Williams provides general and special counsel services to public agencies throughout San Diego County. General counsel services include all areas of public agency law from Brown Act and conflict of interest rules for public officials to day-to-day contract and employee issues. Special counsel services generally involve litigation of contract, tort and land use matters and assistance with land use and environmental issues.
Worden Williams is currently general counsel to the San Dieguito River Valley Joint Powers Authority, and Leucadia Wastewater District. Active special counsel matters include representation of the San Diego Convention Center Corporation, North San Diego County Transit Development Board ("NCTD"), and the San Diego County Water Authority. The firm has provided general and special counsel services to cities and agencies throughout the County, including the Cities of Chula Vista, Coronado, Escondido, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, San Marcos, La Mesa, El Cajon, Santee, and Del Mar. The firm continues to provide these special counsel services to public agencies on an as-needed basis.
